Thinking about Thanksgiving

I can't believe the Holidays are upon us! This year has really flown by. I hope everyone had a fabulous turkey day! My husband and I had a great day visiting my Aunt and her family for turkey and the trimmings. On Saturday, we had a few family members over for dinner at our house. It was great. I have struggled though this year when thinking about the holidays because it will be the first time in 25 years that I have not had at least one of my boys with me. Kevin's birthday is November 22nd and Kyle's is December 15th. ...so not only do I not get them for the holidays but not for their birthdays either. They are together though and that helps. We skyped on Thanksgiving Day so I got to talk to them and "see" them. Very thankful for Skype! To help keep my chin up I have worked on a Thankful Album for all the 30 days of November. It has been a rewarding project to say the least. On days when I was feeling a little grumpy, I still looked for something to be thankful for and made a permanent memory of it by adding a photo and a few words to capture for my album. Thanks to Cathy Zielske and all the great inspiration she provides. You can check out her album here. Every Friday she shares her pages. 30 days of Thankful  Gotta love her! She has been one of my all time favs since Simple Scrapbook days.

Here is a simple layout I did to help us remember Thanksgiving day 2012.
